OOOOOOOOOOOH you guys. Why are you doing this to me. -.-
I’ve narrowed it down to 5, AND THIS IS A HUGE ACCOMPLISHMENT FOR ME SO JUST UGH. They span from their earlier days to now, and I’m gonna go in chronological order - because asking me to rank these will not bode well for me. Or anyone in my path. XD
- I’ll. The largest reason why it’s one of my favorites is because you can’t find either of the two songs in this single on any album… Singles like these are sort of special to me. It’s also one of my favorites because my honey has “I’ll” set up as one of his alarms on his phone… XD
- Myaku. Not a standalone single, but THIS IS MY FAVORITE SONG OUT OF THEIR VISUAL KEI ERA. HANDS DOWN. Both the original track AND the 8 1/2 Convert version (BOTH featured on this single) get a LOT of playback time. XD
- Ain’t afraid to die. Another standalone single, and that alone makes me cherish it. XD I’ve always been kind of surprised that “Ain’t afraid to die” never made it onto an album… It’s such a beautifully composed piece, I kind of figured it would have been. o.o
- The Final. Beginning to break out of the visual kei era, now…! XD A friend of mine bought me this single as a gift, so that kind of warms my heart a little bit, just in general. XD That and “The Final” is another freakishly moving, beautiful song. I MEAN THERE’S A REASON EVERYONE SINGS THE CHORUS WORD FOR WORD DURING LIVES. This is a song that has touched many people. Myself included.
- Hageshisa. “Hageshisa” is one of my favorites in their “current era,” which I guess doesn’t really have a name - metal era? XD Add in the fact that I really quite like the reworking of “Zan” that is featured on this single, and we definitely have a winner~ DELICIOUS, DELICIOUS HEAVINESS…! OOPH!
